Robert Lindop will support the growth of its concrete block portfolio within the UK housebuilding market.
Holcim UK has appointed Robert Lindop as its National Housing Manager to support the growth of its concrete block portfolio within the UK housebuilding market.
Lindop brings more than 35 years of industry experience to Holcim's Building Products Team. He began in the merchant and product distribution sectors before moving into roles focused on block solutions for housebuilders. In his new position, Lindop will oversee the delivery and promotion of Holcim's block offering to housebuilders across England and Wales.
Lindop's appointment follows the retirement of Martin Fulwell, who has served as Sales Director for Holcim UK's Building Products since its acquisition of Besblock in 2024. Fulwell was instrumental in driving Besblock for over 40 years and looks forward to leaving the portfolio in safe hands with Holcim's expanded team.
Lindop said: "Thanks to Martin and the team's dedication, Holcim has a clear and exciting vision for its block business, and I am looking forward to helping define its presence within the housebuilder market. By giving customers a single point of contact and combining expert technical support, strong service, and high performing products, we can build lasting partnerships and help housebuilders deliver homes with confidence."
With the UK government committed to delivering significant new Future Homes Standard-ready housing within this parliament, a key priority for Lindop will be introducing Holcim's high specification products to housebuilders nationally with specific focus on the South West and North West.
Ben Warren, Director of Building Products at Holcim UK, added: "At a time when housebuilders are seeking clarity, reliability in the supply chain, and technical expertise, Robert's appointment ensures our customers have a dedicated specialist who understands both the commercial pressures and practical challenges they face.
"His addition marks an important step in giving our blocks business a stronger and more defined identity in the housebuilder market."
