HEREFORD: A fire extensively damaged the premises of Wheatstone & Plant builders' merchants in Grandstand Road, Hereford, on Monday.
Six fire engines attended the scene. Crew manager Adrian Morris said: "The fire was quite ferocious and a van was on fire outside the building."
The aerial ladder platform team and a water carrier from Ross-on-Wye were also needed. An investigation is being carried out into the cause of the fire.
