LONDON: Hot water and heating company Vokèra has introduced a renewables overview course.

Available at the company's dedicated training centres in London Colney and Bradford, the course has been designed specifically to give delegates a basic knowledge on the subject of renewable technology prior to them investing in more in depth, accredited training.

Aimed at domestic heating installers and those working in the building sector, the course gives a background on solar and air source heat pumps and with genuine equipment installed on Vokèra's test rig, delegates have the opportunity to get real hands on experience of the technology in situ.

In line with its commitment to providing training, Vokèra also announced the opening of two new satellite training facilities for customers at Tipton in the West Midlands and Aberdeen in Scotland.

Eleanor Waldron, marketing director for Vokèra, said: "Training is vital for the development and advancement of our industry, but it can prove to be an expensive exercise for small domestic installer businesses.

"We have designed the renewables overview course to give a thorough background of this exciting sector and a real insight into the ins and outs of specifying and installing the technology for their customers. It is not intended to replace accredited training, but more to give a solid introduction to the topic in preparation for the next stage."
