BRYNMAWR: EcoChem Stayputt jointing compound answered an urgent SOS when it was used on a major renovation project for the BBC TV programme, DIY SOS.
Stayputt was used to provide a reliable, permanent joint on a raised paved area in the garden of a house in Brynmawr, South Wales that underwent a total transformation by Nick Knowles and his team.
The BBC team were asked to help bring the Price family from the Welsh Valleys who had been forced to live apart after Mr Price was seriously ill and could not complete structural work to the family home. Unlike previous challenges where the DIY SOS team refurbish just one room, this time they transformed the whole house back into a family home. This included the garden which was landscaped to include a raised sandstone patio area.
