YORK: The first energy centre in the North of England has opened its doors to the public at the head office of energy-saving specialist, Solarwall.

YORK: The first energy centre in the North of England has opened its doors to the public at the head office of energy-saving specialist, Solarwall.

The Energy Centre will offer visitors advice on how to become energy-efficient, reduce impact on the environment and save money.

 

The Energy Centre will also provide information and energy-saving tips from expert advisors. It will showcase renewable energy technology with working examples for visitors to experience first-hand. These range from a solar thermal system and airsource heat pump to real-time displays, energy-saving lighting and power savers will all be on display.

The Energy Centre also features a carbon-free meeting room which will be used to give training on renewable technologies. Local businesses and organisations are able to hire the facilities.
