RUGBY: Builders' merchant 4-Shires has bought a 3.5-tonne Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 3C15 to service its recently opened second depot in Daventry.
RUGBY: Builders' merchant 4-Shires has bought a 3.5-tonne Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 3C15 to service its recently opened second depot in Daventry.
The company previously hired light-trucks for deliveries and the Canter is its first light-truck purchase.
Peter Middleton-Smith, director at 4Shires said volume rather than payload capacity is important. "We didn't want to go above 3.5-tonne GVW, but the truck had to be able to carry lengths of plastic drainage pipe, roofing fascias and other materials."
Coventry Mercedes-Benz dealer Gerard Mann Commercial Vehicles supplied the vehicle with a curtainside body built by Saunders of Stapleton.
