HRP Trade launches new temporary service to ensure customers will still get supplies

HRP Trade, a heating and plumbing spare parts specialist, has launched a new temporary service to ensure independent merchants that have had to close due to the Coronavirus are still able to provide their customers with product.

The company has set up a new website, which tradespeople can use to order the parts they require to keep providing services to customers during the pandemic.

The initiative has been set up to support independent merchants.

The merchants involvement will be to email each of the installers to confirm the benefits of the temporary site ,and to remind them of the unique merchant postcode that needs to be added in order to allow them to access the website fully.

The unique merchant postcode reference that must be used on each order determines which merchant the installer trades through and without it's input, the installer will not be able to complete the order.

All orders received through this temporary COVID-19 portal will generate a monthly commission to the chosen merchant of ten per cent of the spare part order value, which will be credited to their HRP TRADE account at the end of each month.

Neil Lake, Managing Director, said HRP Trade had received a large number of calls from its merchant customer base explaining how Coronavirus had forced closure of their business.

The feeling was that the financial pressures that could possibly be incurred, might determine whether they would be able to re-open again in the future.

"I discussed with my web development team the prospect of how quickly we could develop a temporary solution that might allow for a sales commission while under furlough, as well as allowing the merchant to demonstrate to customers the desire to offer continuity, and hopefully in turn, customer loyalty once normality resumes," he said.

"After five days of 24 hour shifts, we launched www.heatingreplacementparts.co.uk which has been welcomed by our fantastic group of more than 800 independent merchants across the length and breadth of the country, and will hopefully contribute towards them restarting their business in the near future."
