ROYSTON: Police unsuccessfully chased thieves after they attempted to break into NPS Plumbing Solutions, in Orchard Road.
The burglars were disturbed by a local patrol after breaking into the merchant's premises late on Wednesday night.
A police helicopter and ground patrols searched the area but could not locate the group of men. Witnesses are urged to contact the Hertfordshire Police non-emergency number on 0845 3300222 quoting crime ref G4/11/391.
