A special presentation has been made to Laurence Thomas, product manager at Colchester-headquartered building supplies company Kent Blaxill, to mark 40 years of service with the company.
A special presentation has been made to Laurence Thomas, product manager at Colchester-headquartered building supplies company Kent Blaxill, to mark 40 years of service with the company.
Mr Thomas, 60, who joined the company’s Colchester head office in 1971 as a despatch clerk, worked his way up through a variety of roles before becoming a sales representative in 1980, and then product manager in 1990.
Making the presentation to Laurence, managing director Simon Blaxill said: “Laurence has been invaluable at Kent Blaxill in developing our product range and in pioneering group buying with other independent merchants through Cemco. It is also especially gratifying to make a presentation to someone who has progressed through the company to a senior management position.”
Mr Thomas, who lives in Colchester, said: “The job has evolved in all sorts of ways over the years and I have greatly enjoyed being part of the senior management team.”
