LEIGH: Merchant supplier W Howard, which makes MDF skirting boards, architraves, dado rails and other building products, has purchased Polyco, a Powys-based business making similar products.
Polyco employs 16 staff and has an annual turnover of £1.5m.
Jonathan Grant, W Howard's managing director said Polyco was a complementary business that added to the product range.
W Howard also opened a warehouse in West Thurrock, Essex that will help reduce delivery times to customers in the south, Mr Grant said.
Sales to builders' merchants, including Travis Perkins and Arnold Laver, account for around a third of the W Howards' £13m annual turnover.
