LUTON: Gibbs & Dandy has helped a Leicester school celebrated its 70th year by supplying sand for a giant sculpture.
Former teacher Nicola Wood used 20-tonnes of sand to construct a 3m high sculpture showing children delving into an over-sized school bag with the number 70 to represent the school's age.
The sand was poured into large wooden frames then carved from the top.
Head teacher Gary Toward said it was a magnificent way to mark the school's anniversary, "It's got a fantastic history and you can see a lot of the history being carved in front of you."
