EXETER: A man who worked at the Doncaster branch of B&Q has been sent to prison for 16 months for four counts of false representation and one of theft.
EXETER: A man who worked at the Doncaster branch of B&Q has been sent to prison for 16 months for four counts of false representation and one of theft.
Craig Guest, of Newton Road, Torquay, pleaded guilty at Exeter Crown Court, the BBC reports. The court heard that Mr Guest had stored credit card details from customers while working at B&Q a number of years earlier. He then bought films and games online to the tune of over £6200.
Judge Phillip Wassall said that the "level of deception was so great" that he had no choice but to impose a custodial sentence. "This was hardly spontaneous," he said. "At B&Q you kept lists of credit card details for years, saving them up before you used them."
Mr Guest asked for 40 similar offences to be taken into consideration when he was sentenced.
