Calls to Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity's Construction Industry Helpline jump 55%
Calls to Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity's Construction Industry Helpline have increased by 55% compared with the same time last year. This is a direct result of the desperate times we find ourselves in as a nation due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In response to this, and with a decimated events calendar, the LLIC has launched the urgent Construction Workers Family Crisis Appeal.
The LLIC has been overwhelmed by the amount of support the construction community has given to its appeal, and an incredible £103,864 has been raised in just two weeks.
However, the LLIC is still a long way from its ambitious £1million target.
The LLIC said: "If you've not donated to the appeal yet, please consider giving whatever you can. If you're not in the position to donate, then please help us by sharing this message to your friends, family and colleagues."
