MERSEYSIDE: Cheshire Mouldings has beaten off stiff competition to clinch a two-year contract as solus supplier for the National Buying Group.

The St Helens-based firm, which has seen "unprecedented growth this year" despite a tough climate, was one of a number of bids to supply the 83 partner companies in the NBG group.

NBG's Timber Committee chairman Paul Conboy said he is confident Cheshire Mouldings will meet all the demands required.

"The company has given NBG an excellent presentation and we were very impressed with the overall package and commitment to NBG that Cheshire Mouldings offered," he stated.

"The management team believes the successful bid is due to a combination of factors, including an extensive range of top quality products, consistently high standards of customer service and an excellent reputation within the industry."
