The gift is part of a large-scale operation at Bradfords’ depots across the South West
A branch of Bradfords Building Supplies located in the village of Martock in Somerset has provided all the available eye protection in its stock in a bid to tackle the shortages faced in the healthcare sector.
The donation has been sent to front-line staff in Yeovil.
Giles Bradford, Communications and Engagement Manager at Bradfords, said: "We were delighted to help with the donation of PPE.
"It's vital that as much equipment goes to the healthcare sector as possible and we have been able to co-ordinate our efforts collectively into helping bring together supplies."
The donation is part of a large-scale operation at Bradfords' depots across the South West to provide PPE to the region's healthcare sector.
The company orchestrated a response from 45 stores across its network, in line with a national appeal from the Builders Merchants Federation for donations of PPE across its membership.
John Newcomb, Chief Executive of the BMF, said: "Bradfords Building Supplies has generously stepped forward with a donation from its Martock branch, as well as other locations within its network.
"Our members play a key role in the community and the unique nature of their work, and their stock of PPE, puts them in a good position to make a difference to our healthcare professionals at this difficult time."
