LONDON: Kingfisher, parent company of B&Q has stated that it has had "a good recession".

LONDON: Kingfisher, parent company of B&Q has stated that it has had "a good recession".

Chief executive Ian Cheshire commented that "People were looking to improve, rather than to move and B&Q has been the jewel in the crown."

In the half year to August, profit was up 35% to £288m on sales.
